Southeastern Routes

  • Southeastern operates rail services in and around Kent, South East London and parts of East Sussex and cary more than 400 000 passengers every day.
  • Southeastern trains provides excellent connections to Europe, including straight connections to Calais, Paris and Lille via the Eurostar, the Eurotunnel and important UK ferry ports including Dover Priory.

 

Southeastern categorises their rail services into 3 types:

High Speed Services

The UK's first high speed service is now in full operation - running 200 trains every weekday. The High speed Southeastern services operate between London St Pancras International and Kent, calling at over 21 stations along the way. Journey time from St Pancras to Ashford is 37m, and just 18m to Ebbsfleet. Southeastern's 140mph high speed service now operates on weekends!

 

Metro Services

Southeastern helps over 120,000 commuters get to work each day. Regular suburban trains run from South East London and Kent into the heart of the city, including these six mainline London stations: Victoria, Blackfriars, Cannon Street, Charing Cross, Waterloo East, and London Bridge. Other popular calling at stations include: Strood, Sevenoaks, Hayes, Bexleyheath, Lewisham and Dartford.

 

Mainline Services

Southeastern mainline services take travellers to East Sussex, Kent and the coast providing excellent connections for the ferry and Eurostar, including the popular destinations of Hastings, Folkestone, Canterbury, Sheerness-on-Sea, Dover, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells.
