London North Eastern Railway
Formerly known as Virgin Trains East Coast.
The Department for Transport has set up a new publicly owned operating company, LNER Ltd, to run the trains that are currently operated by Virgin Trains East Coast.
LNER operates long-distance inter-city services on the East Coast Main Line, which runs from London Kings Crossto North East England and Scotland. It manages 11 stations and its trains call at 53.
