Central Trains

Central Trains

Central Trains services are now split between East Midlands Trains and London Midland Trains.   Simply enter your rail journey details below to find the best possible fare for your journey. RailEasy will automatically select the train company for your journey which you can see on the "Details" tab of each rail option selected.

The original Central Trains route network extended from Liverpool to Stansted, Cardiff to Skegnees as well as major stations in between.

Central Trains operated a modern, mixed fleet of electric and diesel multiple units. A brand new fleet of Turbostar trains was ordered almost as soon as National Express took over the Central Trains franchise. Central disposed of its last 1960s slam door trains in 2000, two years ahead of the Government’s deadline.
