HERRENHAUSEN Royal Gardens
The Hannover kings and electors created the beautiful French-style baroque, English and botanical gardens at Herrenhausen, many a leisurely afternoon can be enjoyed here, and there are always events and exhibitions on throughout the year to entertain. The Hannover International Firework display is held in the Great Garden over 6 evenings in the summer. Throughout the year you can admire some of the last works of the German artist Nikki Saint Phalle in the Great Garden.

Hannover zoo is a real treat being one the best zoos in Europe, take a trek up Gorilla Mountain, or trudge through Jungle Palace and marvel at marmosets and butterflies. Don’t forget to visit the wolves in the wood feeding time and the sea birds frolicking in the swimming area.
